The PartnerTech KB-1140 keyboard is so versatile it can be used to replace any standard PC/AT type keyboard. It accommodates three programmable key layouts using 28 keys, providing a total of 84 programmable keys. Every key on each layout may be programmed to represent a data string of up to 16 characters. Changing between keyboard layouts is as simple as pressing a key.

This keyboard uses a membrane technology that creates a spill resistant and durable design which makes it suitable for almost any environment. This membrane technology has been tested with up to 10 million key presses. Also included is an integrated mouse pad which makes navigation in any mouse driven environment a snap. Another feature included is a non-decoded I/O port for additional input devices such as a scanner, barcode reader etc...

Using the menu driven utility software provided, the keys can be easily programmed ranging from one character definition to control keys with string key definitions. This utility also allows for the custom layout to be saved and retrieved for modification or programming multiple keyboards. All the programmable keys are re-legendable and each programmed key is stored in the keyboard memory. The keyboard will accept single or dual key caps. Modular bar code interface and magnetic stripe readers (up to 3 tracks) are available options.

The combination of PC QWERTY layout with 28 fully programmable and relegendable keys and touch pad provides you the streamline keyboard not only for your POS but any data entry application needs.
