The
Socket 2D Scan Card (2DSC) 5B can scan all popular linear (1-D),
stacked, matrix (2-D) and Postal bar codes with your Windows-powered
mobile computer. Socket's revolutionary 2D Scan Card 5B brings
ultra-high performance to mobile data collection with miniature,
state-of-the-art CMOS imaging technology.
The Socket 2DSC 5B is powered by Adaptus Imaging Technology from Hand
Held Products. Offering superior performance and versatility, Adaptus
represents the new standard for customers who demand extraordinary value
from their technology investment.
 The Socket 2D Scan Card 5B is the perfect accessory to support DMV,
military, package pickup and delivery, healthcare, automotive and other
applications requiring both bar code scanning. Just plug the Socket 2D
Scan Card 5B into the CF slot of your Windows CE Pocket PC or HPC2000 or
Windows 2000/XP notebook or Pen Tablet. Draws power from the host - no
batteries or power adapters needed.

- SocketScan software (included)
converts scanned bar code characters into virtual keystrokes so that
any Windows application treats the characters as though they were
typed on a keyboard
- SocketScan enables the creation of
prefixes and suffixes, such as Tab or Carriage Return, to further
eliminate keystrokes in the data entry process
- SocketScan "Scan Demo" reports
symbology, length and decoded data (in ASCII or hex) of any scanned
bar code (Symbology must be supported)
One-hand operation improves efficiency
- No extra batteries or special power
adapters needed – the 2DSC 5B gets power from the host
- SocketScan SDK available for
