Unitech PT815 Portable Data Collection Terminal

The Unitech PT-815 is a rugged, compact, hand-held data collection terminal with local processing power, RAM storage, LCD display, keypad and RS232 interface. The PT-815 is designed to interface with a bar code scanner to read labels, making it ideal for applications such as order entry, inventory control, price checking, asset management, and general data collection applications where a sturdy portable device is required.

An embedded Resident Operating System, communication utility for data downloading and uploading, high-level program development software and a C language compiler (optional) provide users with a powerful software development environment.

  • 16 x 4 LCD, 64 to 256K user memory and real-time clock
  • Embedded system diagnostics, data logging application, and barcode decoding software
  • Full alphabetic keyboard with separate numeric keypad
  • Automatically accepts barcode input from wand, CCD, or laser scanner
  • Menu driven system operation
  • Custom EPROM implementation
  • Audio buzzer for feedback from the keypad and barcode reading
  • Operates via a NiCd battery pack or 4 AA alkaline batteries
  • Onboard lithium battery for data retention
  • Recharging circuit of NiCd battery pack with protection from accidental recharge of alkaline batteries
  • Low power warning for main battery and backup battery
